The journey

from being a resident of India to becoming an NRI.

I am from a tiny town called Koppa in Karnataka, which is rich in greenary, simple people and pleasant climate. I was brought up there and had most of my education there until my Ayurvedic medical degree BAMS. Later I moved to Mysore for my MD studies. Since childhood I have a passion to learn new things and venture into new fields. I also love to meet new people, know them and I am open to explore the world. So, after I completed my masters and worked in Mysore and Shimoga for 1.5 years, I got an offer to work for Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok for their newly opened center, The Ayurvedic Penthouse. Though Bangkok was not an option in my mind, due to my mother's encouragement and support I was ready to spread the message of Ayurveda in this beautiful Kingdom of Thailand. This opened up a lot of new possibilities to this guy from an ordinary middle class family in India, to explore most of his dream hobbies and ventures including digital photography and real estate business with RE/MAX, one of the best real estate business brand in the world. I am very glad to have this opportunity to be an ambassador of Ayurveda and represent Indians to show the world that nothing is impossible to achieve, if you have that determination, openness and respect for your country & parents in your heart. I know it is just a few miles travelled and there is a lot more to travel in this journey. However, I am on my way to inspire others by my life and I am glad to say so by representing my lovely India.

Top 3 suggestions to Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh

to strengthen NRI ties with the nation.

1. Mutual MOU's with as many countries as possible to enable Indians to travel for at least 15-30 days without the need of Visa to those countries, as many western citizens do. 2. Simplified and transparent custom laws to encouorage NRI's not to support corruption in customs which is happening now due to current hectic and clueless customs regulation & procedures. 3. Promote tourism in India by providing excellent transportation, accommodation, information systems and bring in the revenue by having NRI's as India's representatives worldwide. Give opportunities and encouraging rewards to NRI's to promote medical, cultural and educational tourisms by appropriate tie-ups and MOU's.

TOP 3 changes to inculcate more confidence in NRIs

while investing in India.

1. Give more benfits on investments. 2. Reduce the tax on income. 3. Give special previleges to NRI investors when they want to return to India.

Most admired aspect of

Indian culture & new home country’s culture.

Diversity in arts, music, literature, sculpture, architechture, food, language, beliefs and history is what makes India a unique and special country. That is the best part I admire and I want to show the world. I want to tell the world that there are so many strengths in Indian culture, apart from a very few what they have known till now.

I am the best candidate to represent NRI causes at

the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2011, New Delhi because:

I always dream of seeing India as a safe, comfortable and WOW destination for tourists by having friendly and hospitality oriented tourism development. This, in long run, will bring more money in and make India a superpower not only financially but also in the hearts of people around the world. Opportunity given and supported well, I would be glad to work for this cause in India and worldwide. Moreover, I have a passion for Indian culture, music and all artforms and personally have some hand on skills and knowledge in arts like photography (biggest opportunity to spread tourism), Karnatic music, Bharatanatyam and painting. Also, Ayurveda is the mother of all healing systems from India and I am a professional Ayurveda doctor with a thirst to spread its message worldwide. Hence, I can represent Indian culture, Ayurveda and work for developing tourism in India.
